GENESIS

1933: setting up of the first Basketball team on Luxembourg City ground (catholic boys club)

1933-1949 : Various Basketball teams played in Luxembourg-City neighborhoods such as Blo-Waiss Hollerich, Réveil Weimerskirch, Vauban Pfaffenthal. After 1950, other than Racing, Basketball Clubs have existed in the city but since disappeared (Avenir Hollerich, Young Boys Hamm).

1950: foundation of Racing Luxembourg at Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, first participation in championships in 1950/51

1973: foundation of a Basketball section within “Club Athlétique Spora”

1976: foundation of “Cents Basket”

1980: merger Racing with “C.A. Spora Basket” : > “Basket Sporting Luxembourg-City”

1993: merger Basket Sporting with Cents Basket and return to the original name : > “Basket Racing Club Luxembourg”

2006: foundation of “US Lampertsbierg”

2012: merger Basket Racing with US Lampertsbierg: > US Basket Racing Luxembourg
